Call for contributions

Join us in shaping our events and professional development programme

Are you passionate about driving innovation and shaping the future of the healthcare industry? Do you have insights, expertise or experience to share with other business insights professionals? If so, we invite you to submit your contributions to our 2024/25 events and professional development programme and contribute to the collective strength of our industry.

This year, we’re sharing a single call for contributions which covers a range of BHBIA events and professional development activities. One call for contributions and there are many ways to share your ideas and expertise with our members!

Why contribute?

Contributing to the BHBIA’s events and professional development programme offers numerous benefits:

  • Showcase your expertise and thought leadership to a community of like-minded professionals.
  • Help influence the agenda by contributing ideas for content, speakers, events, and professional development activities.
  • Make a tangible impact on the future direction of our industry, driving innovation and best practices.
  • Connect with peers, industry leaders and potential collaborators who share your passion for advancing healthcare insights.

About our 2024/25 programme

We have exciting plans to deliver a diverse programme of events and professional development opportunities to our members over the next year. These include:

  • Annual Conference presentations, talks and workshops: Share your insights, case studies, research findings and thought leadership at the BHBIA’s flagship two-day event, held in London each May and attended by over 270 delegates from across the business insights spectrum.
  • Professional development workshops and webinars: An extensive programme of face-to-face and virtual learning and development events to help further the knowledge and skills of the healthcare business insights community.
  • New for 2024/25 - Seminar convenors: Propose themes, session topics, panel discussions and speakers for our half-day face-to-face Winter Seminar or virtual Spring and Summer events. This is an exciting new opportunity to collaborate with the BHBIA and convene these key events held throughout the year.
  • New for 2024/25 - Innovations in … a series of virtual workshops designed to help attendees brush up on specific skills and methodologies, learn about innovations and discuss challenges or opportunities in key areas: qualitative and quantitative market research, fieldwork, real-world evidence and impact and data working.

When do I need to respond?

The submission deadline is Friday 21st June 2024. You can expect to hear back from us by the end of July.

Submission topics

Help answer the questions which have our members scratching their heads! We want to cover a broad range of topics that matter to our members who work in pharmaceutical companies, agencies and consultancies and whose interests span the spectrum of business insights from primary market research to secondary data, analytics and fieldwork.

  • What are the trends you see and are part of?
  • What are the latest tools and techniques making the most significant difference in insight generation?
  • How do we continue to advance the role of healthcare business insights in the UK and its impact on our organisations and patients?
  • What knowledge and skills do those new to the industry or advancing their careers need to develop?

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with ideas covering the following topics:

  • Is customer experience really the way forward or is it just a fad?
  • We constantly transform yet what has really changed?
  • Is market research a dying art and will technological solutions replace it?
  • Data-driven decision-making - is this a dream or a nightmare?
  • Will tighter compliance provide helpful structure or stifle creativity and impact?
  • How do we raise the bar and improve respondent experience?
