UCB Pharma, 208 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire SL1 3WE
Thursday 03 April 2025, 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
As an agency-side researcher, do you every wonder what
a typical day is like for clients? This training will share key priorities for clients and
typical business challenges they face for a more informed understanding of
their world, including a tour of their science laboratories on site.
Purpose
This in-person training will provide those who are newly in their career (≤5 years’ experience) an understanding of the client market research role, including exposure to client offices and laboratories. The session will explore topics such as how client and agency roles are similar, yet different. Discuss how researchers can typically spend their time and who they work with beyond the market research team. As well as exploring key activities such as developing plans, managing projects and what happens next once the research has been delivered.
What can you expect?
The session will take place at UCB’s offices in Slough and will include a laboratory tour as well as insights into the pharma office environment.
By the end of the day, you will understand:
- How is market research theory and methodology used in practice?
- How does market research fit within the 'bigger picture' of pharma company planning and activities?
- What happens before the research begins and once it is finished?
Who should attend?
This training is designed for research executives with 1-5 years’ experience, working in market research or fieldwork agencies. It may also be of value to executives in analytics companies / data providers who wish to gain an overview of how client-side insights teams use all the different primary and secondary data sources available to them.
