Virtual Workshop

BHBIA Delivering the Sizzle, not just the Sausage – effective presentation delivery skills

Zoom
Thursday 17 October 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Develop and refine your presentation skills in both virtual and face to face settings

Communicating and connecting effectively with clients, whether internal or external, is an increasingly essential skill for today’s researcher/analyst.

After all, ours is a ‘people’ business: clients buy people whom they trust and respect, and who deliver personal benefit and organisational value.

Purpose

The delivery of a presentation, whether face-to-face or virtually, is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your clients and stakeholders, make a difference and strengthen the relationship.  However the effectiveness of the delivery will be largely judged not by what is communicated but by how it is communicated.  Although the content of your message is key, whether your audience understands, remembers, or acts upon it, will be determined by how well you bring it alive, and energise, interpret and engage.

What can you expect?

This highly practical workshop will give you the opportunity to develop and refine your presentation delivery skills in a totally safe environment. The aim is to increase both your capacity and your confidence in delivering insightful, trust-enhancing, and memorable messages.

We will discuss such key issues as:

  • the importance of energy, body language and voice, how to handle nerves and questions
  • the added complexity of delivering remotely

You will have the unique opportunity to deliver a presentation before receiving one-to-one feedback (supported by a recording of your presentation), helping you identify your current strengths and areas for improvement.  You will then get the chance to put your learning into practice by delivering again, followed by further feedback.  Due to this personally tailored approach, attendance numbers need to be strictly limited.

Each delegate will get some 'downtime' whilst others are presenting, helping you to stay refreshed and energised.

Space is strictly limited to allow individual feedback so don’t miss out – book now!

This workshop is the last in the year of a series of three that Danny will host for the BHBIA - all centred on enhancing your Business Skills in order to be valued as a true business partner. Other workshops featured in the year are:

Who should attend?

The workshop is aimed at anyone for whom their role involves presenting – either on a regular basis to further their skills, or for those preparing to take on more presenting in their roles. This can involve planning for any audience size and is suitable for those presenting face to face and in a virtual setting.
