NEW BHBIA Navigating Generative AI in Pharma: Client Perspectives and Progress

Purpose:

In this webinar we explore the current Generative AI state-of-play from the perspective of clients working in market research, data, and insights roles within pharma and life science. In the first half of the webinar, we will share findings from a series of stakeholder interviews Day One conducted with clients to explore where they are on their journeys and where they plan to go next. The second half of the session will be in the form of a virtual round table discussion with clients to bring to life the findings and debate the impact that Generative AI will have on our industry.

What you can expect:

  • Hear insights from clients regarding their experiences with adopting generative AI for market research and insights and assess the varying stages of adoption among different companies.
  • Understand the perceived value of generative AI from the clients' perspective, including the pain points and opportunities they aim to address, as well as specific use cases.
  • Share clients' predictions on how generative AI will reshape the industry, explore the evolving roles of technology and human expertise, and discuss what research agencies and fieldwork companies need to do to prepare for the future.

Lawrence specialises in digital healthcare and strategy. His experience spans competitive analysis, digital transformation, and innovation. With a robust background in innovation, consumer, and brand strategy, Lawrence has a proven track record of driving digital transformation initiatives within the healthcare sector and providing actionable insights to his clients. 

His expertise encompasses the application of Generative AI (GenAI) in healthcare, as well as the use of extended reality technologies, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), and digital therapeutics (Dtx) solutions.

Bio:

Dan has over eight years of experience in healthcare insights, specialising in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research across various therapy areas. As one of the first employees at Day One Strategy, he has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative methodologies that integrate technology with human insights.

Dan is a regularly speaks at industry events and facilitates training courses, including those organised by the BHBIA and EphMRA. Recent contributions include:

His passion for research was cultivated through both academic and commercial health research. Dan has expertise in project management, research design, new business development, and client management. His MSc dissertation, which explored the psychological effects of different exercise environments, led to a co-authored research paper published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH).

Dan has a broad expertise across numerous therapy areas, with a particular interest in novel therapies such as CAR T-Cell and other immunotherapies.
