Claudia is a very experienced healthcare market researcher having worked in the Pharma industry for the past 19 years. She graduated with a Business Science Degree in Marketing and Market Research, and her first job was working for a full service market research agency in Cape Town.
When she moved across to the UK she joined GSK (formerly Glaxo Wellcome) as an Information Analyst, and then moved into Market Research gaining a breadth of experience across numerous therapy areas, including a secondment in the consumer division. More recently she has taken on senior leadership positions within the organisation, and her role now includes managing both the market research and analysis functions for the UK/Ireland LOCs.
She is passionate about ensuring that research and analysis drive quality insights with maximum business impact, and also has responsibility for adherence to compliance and governance frameworks in these areas.
Nicola Miles
Business Director - medeConnect Healthcare Insight and Agency Training Lead - BHBIA Ethics & Compliance Committee
Nicola has over 25 years of experience covering both clinical and market research. Initially working at the Royal Marsden hospital on clinical research projects covering cancer screening programmes including the pilots for the UK breast screening programme and evaluation of cervical screening programmes. Then moving into the broader field of market research including consumer, B2B and mystery shopping and finally returning to healthcare research firstly with Synovate and lately with medeConnect Healthcare Insight.
Nicola combines the experience of the ethical procedures and practicalities of the day to day running of research projects to ensure that guidelines are met and the rationale explained.
Xavier Fonder
Quality Manager - RONIN International and Training Team member - BHBIA Ethics & Compliance Committee
Xavier Fonder has been in the research industry since 2013 and is Quality Manager for RONIN International, taking overall responsibility for compliance, policy and process development, as well as heading the in-house translations, testing, and coding departments.
Xavier fell into market research by chance and never left. Having had a range of roles across fieldwork capabilities, experienced in CATI and Web methodologies, he now reports to senior management on process, audit, and compliance issues – and pragmatic ways to use best practice for good business. His driving philosophy in designing policy and implementing strategy is to develop procedures that support and empower individuals at every step of the research process, building confidence in all teams to take the right decisions for improved outcomes and ongoing knowledge-sharing.
As well as being part of the the Ethics & Compliance Committee, Xavier also supports the BHBIA Fieldwork Forum as Communications Officer.
