The need for Real World Data (RWD) in addition to clinical trial data is becoming more widely accepted in the pharmaceutical industry. It is needed at all stages of drug development, and the benefits of using RWD will be discussed during this webinar.

Traditional sources of what we call RWD such as medical databases, observational studies and expert opinion are all useful but often fail accurately to provide precisely the data we need.

There is a "data gap". It is our intention to explore this "data gap" and suggest ways in which this gap can be filled.

Data reported by patients may help but is it as accurate as databases? Is it generalisable? How do we collect it?

No one has truly cracked this problem of collecting genuine RWD, so all ideas, comments and suggestions during and after the broadcast will be welcome.
