Thursday 19 October 2023, 9:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Spotlight on Compliance Seminar 2023
Led by the BHBIA Ethics & Compliance Committee, this seminar will put the spotlight on what good compliance looks like so that you can make sure that your company meets the highest professional standards. It will be an energetic and engaging seminar packed with short, sharp presentations, plenty and varied opportunities for interaction and regular breaks.

This year we welcome as guest presenter Paul Smith, an international speaker (and TED talker), who will be talking about AI. Amongst his many accolades Paul hosts a chat about AI, Innovation & Ethics in Marketing on LinkedIn. His talk will look at the opportunities and challenges, advantages and disadvantages and ethical considerations around AI.
What will you take away?
The rest of the day promises to be interactive with case studies and opportunities to ask questions with a focus on the following:
- AI and ChatGPT
- Social Media listening
- Patient research and how to do it well
- Reimbursing patients and members of the public
- Data Privacy – what is happening outside the UK and how that could impact you when working with other countries
You will have the opportunity to network with peers facing the same challenges and ask questions of the panel of expert hosts throughout the day.
Who is the Seminar aimed at?
This workshop is designed for Business Insights executives with a good background knowledge of the BHBIA Legal and Ethical Guidelines and the ABPI/BHBIA Guidance for Adverse Event Reporting.
