Virtual Workshop
BHBIA 'Why Should Anyone Listen to You?' - Increase your Personal Influence & Impact, Remotely & in Reality
via Zoom
Thursday 23 June 2022, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Overview
Ours is a ‘people’ business; it’s built upon relationships and influence. Clients and colleagues will listen to, and be influenced by, those who sell the benefits to them of doing so, who deliver their definition of ‘value’ and whom they trust and respect.
Discover the key tools, skills and tactics of effective influencers and how to apply these to your own stakeholder relationships, particularly when those have to be maintained, and indeed strengthened, in a virtual or 'hybrid' working environment.
You’ll leave this highly pragmatic and interactive masterclass with tangible take-outs that will help make a real difference to the scope and scale of your own influence and impact. You’ll be able to do this by:
- Understanding some of the fundamental skills of effective influencing
- Appreciating the importance of influencing where it matters
- Recognising a range of influencing tactics that you can add to your personal toolbox
- Learning how to develop & strengthen trusted relationships
- Clarifying what your key stakeholders define as you delivering ‘value’
- Being able to sell the benefits to those stakeholders of being influenced by you
- Doing all of this in a virtual world in which you and they are working remotely
The session will take place via Zoom, with breaks built in to keep you refreshed and energised, and the number of attendees will be strictly limited, to facilitate the delivery of a fully interactive training course.
It will be tailored to a business intelligence audience - both client and agency side - and suitable for a range of experience levels. You will be asked to complete a pre-course questionnaire to help the tutor to plan the content to meet the specific needs of the attendees.
The course will be run for us by professional trainer Daniel Wain. We had great feedback on this course in 2020 and Daniel also ran a short version of it at the BHBIA 2021 Virtual Annual Conference for which he won the John Wheeler Award for Best Conference Training Session
Delegates said:
"A great refresher with practical applications you can apply to the day job"

"Would suit all levels and needs"
