Sarah has 26 years’ experience as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, having worked in Accenture’s pharmaceutical strategy practice prior to joining IQVIA. She has an extremely wide experience of international pharmaceutical industry issues, having worked most of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies on issues in the US, Europe, Japan, and leading emerging markets, and is now Vice President, European Thought Leadership in IQVIA, a team she has run for 8 years. Sarah holds a degree in biochemistry from Oxford University.
Omar Ali, Head of Payers - Verpora
A pharmacist payer with over 15 years experience across both primary care & secondary care having served on numerous formulary groups, drugs & therapeutics & area prescribing committees. Omar has been a visiting Lecturer at UCLH Pharmacy Programme and was both Lecturer & Examiner on Independent Prescribing the University of Surrey He has over 30 publications to date was an Editorial Content Adviser to Guidelines, and Associate Editor to the Canadian Journal of Population Therapeutics & Clinical Pharmacology.
Omar has served a position on the External Reference Group on Cost Impact Modelling for NICE for10 years was also appointed Panel Member for the newly formed Adoption & Impact Program Reference for NICE thereafter. He has advised foreign investors (US Embassy) on ‘Value Based Assessments (hosted by the UKDTi).
As head of payers at Verpora, he leads a group of 150 global payers within a network bringing pricing, access & reimbursement expertise from over 30 markets across the globe. He has embarked on a PhD doctorate on Value-based & innovative contracting with medicines publishing his 1st thesis “Performance based leasing model over time for CAR-T therapies” commissioned by Catapult & NHS England. He is a well-seasoned global speaker, most recently having delivered the keynote at AMCP New Orleans, guest speaker at Model-N Austin Texas, presenting at Italian Healthcare Senato della Republica in Rome and on Evaluation and Sustainability models of Healthcare at Future of Pharmacy Commissioning at London Houses of Parliament.
Adam Buckler, Vice President, Innovative Contracting - Verpora
Adam is an accomplished pharmacist with over 12 years of NHS experience in acute Trusts and at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a prestigious oncology and haematology centre. His expertise spans Electronic Prescribing & Medicines Administration (EPMA) and Education & Training (E&T), with a deep understanding of NHS data systems, processes and capabilities. During his NHS tenure, Adam also contributed to the NHSE and NIHR Electronic-Prescribing Toolkit.
Currently, Adam leads the Innovative Contracting business unit at Verpora, where he oversees a team of healthcare researcher analysts dedicated to tracking global activity and advancements in Innovative Contracting. In his role, he works closely with pharmaceutical companies, designing value-based contracts that enhance access to vital medications or deliver contracting capability-building programs to upskill market access teams. Leveraging his background in EPMA and NHS data, Adam also provides critical clinical and healthcare insights for Verpora’s VSTx product.

Paul Midgley is an experienced leader in the UK NHS and life sciences sectors, passionate about accelerating NHS transformation. Beginning his career at GSK, Paul moved to found Healthcare Partnership in 2001, guiding pharma and medtech in NHS engagement. His NHS insight led to NHS board roles, including Community Director in an innovative CIC. Paul currently sits on 8 NHS committees and Boards.
After Healthcare Partnership's acquisition by NHiS Ltd, Paul became Director of NHS Insight, developing the organisation’s reputation for NHS expertise and improving outcomes through insights. He then became Director of NHS Insight at Wilmington Healthcare, working with big pharma and medtech UK affiliates to help accelerate market access and leading Wilmington’s Thought Leadership practice.
In 2023, Paul launched Paul Midgley Associates Limited, offering strategic NHS insight to clients working with the NHS, supporting sustainable, patient-centred solutions across pharma, medtech and digital health sectors.

In his book, Activating Digital Opinion Leaders, he outlines a methodology for identifying, engaging, and empowering influential HCPs on social media. Daniel's pioneering work led to the launch of CREATION Pinpoint, an AI-driven platform that monitors millions of HCPs on social media, spotlighting the most influential voices within their networks. Today, he is spearheading the development of a new app that helps HCPs track and enhance their own social media impact. Paul O'Nions, Founder - GTMx Consulting Ltd.
Paul has over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he is known for driving innovation and excellence in business intelligence. As a catalyst in this field, he has served on the board of the British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association (BHBIA) since 2015 and has been Chair since 2020. His career includes leadership roles at Sanofi and Novo Nordisk, where he led projects in CRM, analytics, and key account management. He also supported NHS England during the COVID-19 pandemic, applying data-driven strategies to support critical supply challenges. In 2024, Paul founded GTMx Consulting, leveraging his rich experience to empower health systems and deliver next-generation commercial solutions.
