May 13th, 2024

We are delighted to announce the appointment of two newly elected directors from our agency/consultancy division to the BHBIA Board.

Joining us are Michael Hope, Co-Founder of MultiM3d, and returning board member Nick Merryfield, CEO of Verpora. They both bring a wealth of industry experience and expertise to the Association.

Bors Hulesch, Captain at Brains & Cheek, has been re-elected as an agency/consultancy division member. Rachel Dixon, Business Insight Director at GSK, Paul O'Nions, Head of Business Operations & Support at Sanofi, Kelly West, Head of NTA and Market Research at Boehringer Ingelheim have been re-elected as industry division members and as a previously co-opted Board Member Adesola Fadiora, Omnichannel Analytics Lead at Gilead Sciences was also elected as an industry division member.

We bid farewell and thank Rob Heathcote, IQVIA, and Ben Walker, Adelphi Research, for their valuable contributions during their tenure.

Michael Hope

"I’m delighted to have been elected to join the BHBIA board and I’m looking forward to getting fully involved on the programme and activities planned for the rest of the year. The BHBIA is clearly thriving and this year’s amazing conference is a strong testament to that, so the team who have brough it to fruition deserves a lot of credit. It’s such a crucial showpiece for all the critical challenges the industry is facing and really shows that the UK is at the forefront.

There is a very interesting mix of things going on but I’m particularly looking forward to working together with the teams delivering some of the training and helping to plan for next year's conference, as well as finding out what’s going on with the next edition of the BOBI Awards.

The BHBIA has an important role, so I wanted to get involved because the next five years are going to bring seismic changes to our industry and insights and analytics will play a pivotal role in the ongoing transformation. The UK is well placed to deliver world class capabilities from both the industry and service provider angles so I want to do all I can to help reinforce that position and make sure all members can benefit from the opportunities that will arise."

Nick Merryfield

"As CEO of Verpora, I lead a team of payers, analysts, researchers, and change management consultants who work globally to deliver value-based contracting solutions. I am a former BHBIA Board member, with my first term being from 2018-2020. I would like to bring the strengths of creative thinking underpinned by a can-do attitude and strong commercial acumen to the role. In particular, I am keen to be proactively involved in ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) continues to be at the forefront of the BHBIA and would like to explore how more payer, patient and other stakeholder activities could be incorporated into the organisation. I am keen to develop these interests by pulling on an extensive network of resources across the business intelligence, DE&I, payer, and change management communities.

The Board, comprised of 10 members from industry and agency/consultancy, sets the BHBIA's strategic direction. It is committed to bringing initiatives to life and delivering events to meet members' current and future needs. Board members are volunteers who have the support of their organisations and commit time and energy to the BHBIA. You can view the full Board here.

We hope you will join us in welcoming our new members to the BHBIA Board and wishing them every success!
