The BHBIA is delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Johnstone as its new Development Officer.

Steve brings three decades of experience across client and agency roles within healthcare business intelligence. Over the past 20 years, he has held various research and analytics positions at AbbVie, both at the affiliate and global levels, including leading the UK Business Intelligence and Analytics team.

A long-standing contributor to the BHBIA, Steve is a former board and committee member and has served as a BOBI Awards judge. His extensive data analytics and market insights expertise and his passion for knowledge sharing will help drive the association's mission and advance industry excellence.

Steve will oversee the BHBIA's professional development initiatives, ensuring members have access to essential learning resources and insights that help further their professional growth. He will also support the Ethics & Compliance Committee on key initiatives and training. Steve continues to work at AbbVie in their Global Market Analysis and Business Intelligence team. 

Reflecting on his appointment, Steve said: "The BHBIA’s training and events programmes have been key to developing my knowledge, skills and personal network throughout my career. I hope my experience and enthusiasm will help the BHBIA continue delivering training that keeps pace with changing roles and helps shape future market research and analytics capabilities."

Steve succeeds Kate Stevens, who is embarking on exciting new career opportunities outside the industry. Kate has made a significant impact during her time with the BHBIA as a Board Member and, more recently, as a Development Officer. The BHBIA extends its sincere thanks to Kate for her valuable contributions.
